Fighting Work Place Stress with Tai Chi

The obvious objective of practicing martial arts is to prepare to face a potentially dangerous situation that may involve physical aggression. In such a situation, we can find three types of reactions, Escape, Submission or Aggression. The development of the skill and capacity of the practitioner will allow him/her to choose the answer right for that situation.

Tai Chi Christmas survival boost

You must be Selfish this time of year.

I know that we are always told not to be selfish, but if you don’t look after your needs first you can’t look after anyone else!

 Be selfish – take some time away from everyone else when you need to.  Read a book, soak in the bath, go for a walk, take yourself out for lunch or coffee.  Practise your tai chi daily, to give your mind and break from life and to exercise your body.

Hibernation Is Not The Answer -Tai Chi Is!

Tai Chi Builds You Up for Winter

It’s getting colder and the days are shorter.  Less natural light can make you want to hibernate and make you sluggish.  It can also make you irritable and stressed too!  We crave high fat, sugary foods and become annoyed and disappointed with ourselves when we put on weight and change shape.
